And we have another Collab Blitz that is approaching! The theme for this time will be a conversation about sociocratic models.
Sociocracy is a model of distributed governance that can be used in any organizational context. Although the beginnings of Sociocracy appeared more than 100 years ago, it was only in the 1970s that electrical engineer Gerard Endenburg developed what we now know as the Sociocratic Circle Method, which in turn offered great contributions to other aspects of self-management such as Holacracia , S3 and O2.
We will explore the history of Sociocracy and the various ramifications of this management and governance system that have emerged over the past 20 years.
This is not a workshop to learn how to apply these models, to make a comparison of which model is better or worse, or to answer questions about the transition from autocratic to self-managed organizations.
We will try to explore all these nuances in the most didactic way possible, but the goal is not to make an introduction to sociocracy. You can get much more out of this meeting if you have a minimum of familiarity with some sociocratic model.
To register, simply answer the poll on our telegram channel. The zoom link will be available on the day of the workshop.
